Welcome to the Art Show website.
Thank you for taking your time to consider our show.
If you choose to enter your art work in our Show then you will need to follow this procedure and agree to the Terms and Conditions for Entry and Sales.
Submit your work and Entry payment(s) via the Gallery 247 online system and before midnight on Friday 20th of September 2024. Quality colour images of the work in its entirety need to be included. Incomplete applications will not be considered. If there is a significant difference between the initial submitted image and the actual work the work will not be exhibited.
After the closing date all submissions will be reviewed and assessed by a Pre-Selection Panel.
Artists whose works are selected for exhibition will be notified via email or SMS using the online system and invited to exhibit at the Show. Artists must notify the Organisers if the work is no longer available for the Show. Withdrawn works may be substituted at the discretion of the Organisers.
Artists or their agents deliver the works to the Art Show venue.
All exhibits for the physical art show must be delivered to the Altona RSL as per the key dates.
Any damage or loss of any exhibit howsoever and whenever whilst in transit, in storage or otherwise shall be the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. The Committee will take every care of exhibits but does not accept any responsibility for any such damage or loss and advises exhibitors to insure against damage or loss.
If the exhibitor authorises an agent to deliver or collect unsold exhibits this authority must be in writing addressed to the Hobson's Bay Art Show, signed by the exhibitor and contain the specimen signature of the agent.
Important: It is essential that all delivered artwork must have its unique Hobson's Bay Art Show artwork label attached to the rear of the correct artwork. This is different to your NRAAA provenance label. The artwork label(s) can be downloaded from the link(s) in your "Hobson's Bay Art Show - Your Artwork Labels" email sent to you advising acceptance of your entries. You may need to check your junk/spam folder for this email. Alternatively, log into your Gallery 247 Profile and download and print the label(s).
Artists must also download and print their Delivery Docket to bring with them to the Artshow. The Delivery Docket is required when the artwork is received, as it contains the barcode the receiving staff will scan to complete the receiving process. Failure to correctly label your artwork and bring your Delivery Docket with you will delay or prevent receipt of your artworks into the Art Show.
If you need to make any changes to your artwork’s title, description, size or price, please submit a support request to Gallery 247 to request the required changes. Once made, you will be issued a new set of Artwork labels if required.
Finally, please assist the receiving staff by unpacking your artwork before submitting it to the receivers, and ensure it is ready to hang as we do not have facilities to wire artwork for hanging.
During the Show you will be notified via the online system if your artwork sells. A red dot will be placed on the item in the physical Art Show.
The exhibitor must collect any unsold exhibits after the close of the exhibition, as no storage facilities are available after this time as detailed in the Key Dates section. Please ensure you or your agent brings with them a printed copy of the Delivery Docket / Collection Docket to ensure a fast collection process. Uncollected works of art may be sold at the Organisers discretion.
Payments for sold works will be made to the artist, via EFT (preferable) or cheque, for the sale proceeds minus the commission (inclusive of GST) as detailed in the Key Dates section. Online sales artist payments will be subject to delivery of the artworks to the buyer.
